This client wanted to release their new web app, which had a very large word count of 1.65 million words in total. The client was had a time constraint and needed the entire project to be completed in just 6 weeks.
The Solution 💡
Time was of the essence, so our project management team moved fast to prepare a project plan, which included a schedule with partial deliveries and a full risk analysis to find potential points of failure and address them beforehand. Then we put together a large team of translators including multiple reviewers.
We had a lead reviewer who would work on ensuring consistency of the key terms and share the terminological decisions with the whole team. The lead reviewer was also in charge of coordinating the review efforts with the other reviewers.
We made several partial deliveries and were quick to respond whenever an adjustment was required.

The web app was launched on time, just as the client needed, and they were very satisfied with our work. After the project, we continued translating updates for this app.

The customer needed the translations of employee healthcare benefits brochures very frequently, and required a full service that included not only a translation that met the highest quality standards, but also ready-to- documents to be sent directly to the printer.
On top of that, it was critical to use previous translations in order to maintain the same style and reduce costs.

Our project management team put together a team of healthcare translation experts and editorial design specialists who were assigned to this account.
The translation team started by creating a glossary with the most important terms used and the translations preferred by the customer, while the editorial design team put together a graphic design guide based on the sample documents provided by the customer.
After the glossary and the graphic design guide were ready, every project was handled following a strict process that involved the use of the reference materials created, a 3-step translation quality process, and a final editorial design stage which ensured that the final documents looked just like the original ones.
